Security Officer Full Time Exterior Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a manufacturing and industrial location in Kansas City, MO. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and respond to security-related concerns. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, caring for people, teamwork, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of construction, manufacturing, and industrial work areas, building perimeters, parking areas, entrances, and restricted locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Document daily activities, patrol observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
