Responsibilities
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance; arrives on time in full, clean uniform with required name tag, ID, and licenses, ready to work with a heads-up, ready-to-serve mentality.
- Greets all guests and fellow team members warmly and professionally, in line with our Family Style Service culture.
- Maintain guest and employee safety by identifying hazards, conducting walking and driving patrols, monitoring the facility, and responding to incidents promptly.
- Protect Harrah’s Kansas City property and assets while enforcing Missouri Gaming Commission regulations and internal controls, including verifying guest identification to ensure all guests are at least 21 years of age (e.g., checking IDs at entrances or during guest interactions).
- Complete accurate, confidential, detailed security incident reports and promptly report improper, illegal, or suspected illegal activity to Security Supervisors.
- Collaborate effectively with the security team to maintain comprehensive facility security across all assigned shifts.
- Escort internal and external money transfers—including gaming chips, tokens, and cash valued at $500+—between the casino, support facilities, and other designated secure areas.
- Collect, transport, and secure drop boxes, and assist Main Bankers by moving locked NRT carts during machine replenishment.
- Deescalate problem situations using professional tone and manner in challenging situations.
- Provide positive, professional guest interactions while supporting a safe and welcoming environment.
Qualifications
- Communication & Cognitive Skills: Read, write, speak, and understand English; respond to visual and auditory cues; maintain accurate records; basic math skills (addition/subtraction).
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to demonstrate integrity, confidentiality and adhere to standards of a regulated business.
- Eligible to obtain a Missouri Gaming License, pass a background check and drug screening.
- Flexible availability: able to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
- Professional, well-groomed appearance.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills: data entry and ability to interpret computer output.
- Will be provided additional training in other security protocols (i.e. CPR, First Aide etc..)
Work Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; operate effectively in fast-paced and stressful environments.
- Physical Demands: Stand for prolonged periods (up to entire shift), bend, stoop, twist, kneel, reach, grip, and lift/push/pull items (minimum 25 lbs; up to 150 lbs with reasonable accommodations).
- Environmental Tolerance: Comfortable in areas with second-hand smoke, bright lights, high noise, dust, and high traffic.
- Dexterity & Vision: Ability to handle items such as chips, money bags, computers; excellent vision including peripheral.
