Security Officer Full Time Entry Screening

As a Security Officer in WEST POINT, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. You will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-control records.
- Screen and direct inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized access.
Requirements
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
