About the role
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government education location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
- Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols of educational facilities, parking areas, building perimeters, and grounds to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, providing directions and assistance while helping maintain orderly entry and exit.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
