Security Officer Full Time Driver Perimeter Monitoring

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location in River Rouge, MI. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and promptly report relevant details.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility facilities, equipment areas, access points, and the perimeter.
• Monitor for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, hazards, and unusual conditions, and follow established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Maintain accurate patrol logs and incident reports while communicating with Allied Universal personnel, client representatives, and/or emergency responders.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Note: This site has limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
