About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer Full Time Driver Patrol Response in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position supports a people-first environment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven values through teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
- Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and badge compliance in accordance with site procedures; report unauthorized access attempts and follow established escalation protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and shift documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Guard Card or license preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
