As a Full Time Driver Security Officer in Tarrytown, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as healthcare. This front-desk security role involves providing a welcoming presence, managing visitor access, supporting security-related procedures, and delivering exceptional customer service. The position includes driving responsibilities and offers the opportunity to use strong communication skills and technology while helping to deter incidents through attentive front-desk operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service at the front desk by greeting employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in a professional manner.
- Follow site-specific access control procedures, verify visitor credentials, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate visitor logs for a pharmaceutical healthcare location.
- Monitor incoming calls, communications, and front-desk activity; direct individuals to appropriate contacts and provide general site information.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Maintain awareness of security-related conditions at the reception area and promptly report suspicious activity, policy concerns, and facility issues to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Two or more years of security-related experience.
- Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
- New York State Security Guard License.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Pay
$22.64 - $23.64 per hour.
