About the role
As a Security Officer Full Time Driver Alarm Monitoring in Cupertino, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls and more. This unarmed patrol officer role at a retail and mall location involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, responding to alarms, and providing outstanding customer service to visitors and tenants. This driving position represents Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork, clear communication, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking facilities, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help support an orderly environment for tenants, shoppers, and visitors.
- Document patrols, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
