About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Screener in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen people, packages, bags, and/or personal items in accordance with site procedures, report questionable findings, and document screening-related activity as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or public personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, shipping and receiving areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
• Support access control and other security-related tasks by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, and maintaining accurate logs and reports.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.

Skills

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.
• Access control and badge experience.
• CPR certification.
