About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Administration in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect access badges, and maintain accurate visitor and access-related records.
• Control entry and exit of personnel, contractors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures, escalating discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifications according to site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications
