Security Officer Full Time College Campus Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time College Campus Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with campus policies, assisting with directions and reporting access-related concerns.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$20.35 - $21.35 / Hour

• Tuesday 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM
• Friday 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
• Saturday 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
• Sunday 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM
