As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and document observations using computer or tablet tools. $15.00 per hour

Schedule

• Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Thursday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, campus policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors, providing information, and reporting suspicious activity or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
