Security Officer - Full Time

Responsibilities

• Foster a fun environment.
• Be a gracious host to all guests and co-workers.
• Promote a positive influence in the community and participate in company-sponsored events.
• Maintain high visibility, handle problem situations, watch for safety hazards, and provide assistance in medical situations during interactions with internal and external guests.
• Ensure compliance with state, company, and department policies and regulations.
• Provide security on assigned gaming or landing areas.
• Patrol parking lots.
• Provide security escorts for all monetary transfers, fills, and credit.
• Provide crowd control, direct traffic, check IDs, check for prohibited items, and assist customers with needs such as directions, calling cabs, assisting with car trouble, etc.
• Offer special assistance to disabled patrons as necessary.
• Observe and transport funds from VLT drops to the count room.
• Serve as a dispatcher, dispatching other officers to various assignments and maintaining activity log sheets.
• Write detailed reports for incidents involving law violations and/or violations of company policy and procedure.
• Testify in court as needed.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Able to initiate conversations and create a fun environment with guests.
• Able to promptly and accurately follow instructions given by supervisors or managers.
• Must qualify for licensing by Ohio Lottery Commission and Ohio Casino Control Commission.
• Pass a background check.
• Can tolerate areas containing second-hand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality.
• Have open availability including all three shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license to operate the company Security Vehicle.

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, and meet the physical demands of the job.

Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is just one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.

Schedule

Shifts include all three shifts, weekends, and holidays. Open availability is required.
