Security Officer - Full Time

Job Description

As a Security Officer - Full Time in Skokie, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document relevant details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to verify entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, deliveries, and/or contractors in alignment with location procedures.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate contacts and support daily operations with clear communication and professional presence.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
