Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Full Time Armed Patrol Driver Security Officer in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Utilities. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and sound judgment. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to utility personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, buildings, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
