Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol in Rock Hill, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to emerging situations. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors while upholding Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, and integrity-driven values.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or families by carrying out site-specific procedures and supporting a welcoming educational environment.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and maintain accurate daily activity and incident documentation.
- Maintain required armed-post qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site procedures.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
- At least 5 years of security-related experience.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.
Pay
Pay Rate: $20.65 / Hour
Schedule
Full Time, Daytime: Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM – 3:45 PM
