Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Alarm Panel Operations in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working as part of an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.30 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon12:00 AM - 08:00 AMTue12:00 AM - 08:00 AMWed12:00 AM - 08:00 AMThur12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, data center areas, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities in required logs and reports. Minimum Requirements Proof of a high school diploma or equivalent is required by the client.Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Alarm panel experience is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.CPR certification is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
