About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Point Operations in El Segundo, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a professional, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned industrial areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Report unusual conditions, access-control concerns, and security-related incidents according to site-specific reporting requirements.

Requirements

• This is primarily a driving post.
• A security-related guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

Pay Rate: $24.68 / Hour

Schedule

Day Time: Monday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Tuesday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Thursday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Saturday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Sunday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
