Security Officer Full Time Access Operations

This full‑time Access Operations Security Officer role is located in Jackson, MS, serving clients in industries such as chemical and petrochemical.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate for a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain entry records, and direct approved personnel, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access‑control alarms, incidents, and critical situations calmly, problem‑solving and escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify unauthorized activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Support compliance with site access requirements, including applicable personal protective equipment and restricted‑area protocols.

Requirements

• At least one year of security‑related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
