Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Specialist in El Segundo, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail and mall location, you will help maintain a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and team members, and remain visible to help deter incidents.

What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals, deliveries, vendors, and/or contractors entering designated areas of the retail location.
- Maintain visitor and access records, issue and collect credentials as directed, and report access concerns or irregularities to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, common areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
