Security Officer Full Time Access Control Specialist

About the role

As an Access Control Specialist at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a welcoming, orderly environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, documenting activity, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter incidents while supporting smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, managing visitor entry, and maintaining accurate access records.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site-specific entry and exit procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
