About the role
As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Driver in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. This position requires a valid driver’s license and involves providing outstanding customer service, clear communication, and using technology to document security-related activity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
- Help deter unauthorized access by observing access control systems, reporting suspicious activity, and escalating access-related concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter while reporting hazards, damaged access points, and other security-related concerns.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
