Security Officer - Full Time Access Control

About the role
As a Security Officer Access Control Data Entry in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and critical operations. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, clear communication, and supporting a professional presence to help deter incidents.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology data center location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, manage visitor and contractor entry processes, and maintain accurate access-control documentation.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including access points and perimeter locations, to help identify and report security-related concerns.
- Support a professional, customer-focused environment by providing clear directions, communicating policy requirements, and reporting unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- A college degree.
- A minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay
$26.06 per hour.
