Security Officer FT Access Control

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, manage badges and visitor access, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
• Monitor and control access points for people, vehicles, and/or deliveries, helping to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, screening visitors, and maintaining accurate access records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, gate areas, loading and receiving zones, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns.
• Support shipping and distribution operations by observing inbound and outbound traffic, checking required documentation, and communicating clearly with site personnel regarding access and movement procedures.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include:

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
