What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and other security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and shipment-related documentation as required, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, docks, gates, and/or operational spaces.
- Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate site contacts and/or public emergency responders when needed.
- Maintain accurate access records, visitor logs, and incident documentation while communicating clearly with site personnel regarding deliveries, arrivals, departures, and other security-related activity.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, remaining aware of changing conditions related to vehicle traffic, trailer movement, and busy shipping and receiving areas.
Minimum Requirements
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
