Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and/or conditions that could impact the location.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or disruptive behavior within the healthcare environment.
• Support a professional atmosphere by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and communicating clearly with staff and/or first responders during routine and emergency situations.

Requirements

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses required are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
