Security Officer for Truck Gate - Part Time

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and document activity using computer or tablet tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor, employee, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and report security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

$20.80 / Hour

Schedule

• Saturday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sunday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
