Security Officer - Flex Services

About the Role

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Professional Branch Flex Officer to serve and safeguard clients across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, education, finance, retail, and more. This position is based in Bellevue, WA, and offers hands‑on experience, diverse work environments, and a pathway to long‑term career advancement within the security industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property complies with client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.

Basic Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Hold any required licensing in accordance with state and/or local regulations (may be required prior to employment).
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Additional Attributes That Would Enhance Hiring Consideration

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic).
• Prior security, military, or law‑enforcement experience.

Pay

Pay Rate: $24.10 per hour.

Schedule

The role typically involves 30–40 hours per week. Schedule varies week to week based on a combination of manager‑assigned shifts and self‑scheduling through the Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly, and irregular shifts may be assigned with little to no advance notice.
