Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas within a healthcare location, assisting with access control, visitor screening, and directional support as needed.
• Support emergency and incident response efforts by communicating with site contacts and/or first responders, helping to manage access, crowd flow, and other security-related needs during changing conditions.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
