Security Officer - FLEX

As a Security Officer - FLEX in Carol Stream, IL, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Adjust your hours weekly—work part-time one week and full-time the next, with the option to scale back as needed. This role allows you to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, property damage, or policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation in accordance with site requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
