As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will use screening technology, perform access control activities, and monitor entry points to help protect people, packages, and operations. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with visitors and employees, and help identify and report security-related concerns. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site access-control procedures and applicable screening requirements.
• Inspect packages, parcels, and personal property using assigned screening equipment and established procedures; report prohibited or suspicious items to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observations, screening activity, and/or incidents accurately.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated screening areas, facility access points, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.

• Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour
