Job Description

As a Security Officer Part‑Time Unarmed Roving Patrol in Bluffton, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with shoppers, employees, and visitors while contributing to a welcoming environment.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee traffic while helping to deter unauthorized access, theft‑related activity, and other security‑related incidents.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to store leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants with criminal histories will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$16.80 per hour

Schedule

• Monday 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
• Wednesday 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
• Sunday 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
