Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Unit in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support people on site with exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking areas, shipping and receiving zones, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and observe the movement of personnel, visitors, and/or vehicles entering and leaving the location in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete routine reports on daily activities, incidents, and/or maintenance-related observations, and report hazards, equipment issues, or policy concerns to the appropriate site contact.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
