Security Officer Experienced Weekend Patrol

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for visitors and staff. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling opportunities through our Claim a Shift platform.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and personnel activity in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, and other security-related observations.
Requirements
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
