Security Officer Experienced Unarmed Patrol

Part-time unarmed patrol officer role based in Rochester, NY, serving government and military/naval-affairs clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized guests by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by providing directions, reporting suspicious activity, and supporting the protection of government property and operations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$22.31 per hour.

Schedule

• Part-time, Tuesday and Wednesday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM.
