Security Officer Experienced Unarmed Patrol

About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government location in Miami, FL, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and deliver exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned government facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, vehicle, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting irregularities to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- At least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$21.91 / hour
Schedule
- Friday: 12:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Saturday: 12:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM - 11:30 PM
