Security Officer Experienced Site Patrol

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site expectations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with verifying authorized entry, directing foot traffic, and communicating security-related information to staff and/or visitors.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including following post orders, communicating with supervisors and/or local officials, and documenting incidents in a clear manner.

Requirements

• Possess 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
