Security Officer Experienced Patrol Associate

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or permissions as required by site policy, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or maintenance-related issues.
• Support daily operations by maintaining accurate logs, writing incident reports, and following Allied Universal post orders and client-specific instructions throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: Must pass a background investigation and drug screen.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

• Ability to respond calmly to emergencies.
• Good observational skills.
• Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
