About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, and help support a secure environment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access control policies.
• Monitor and manage access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue visitor passes as applicable, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to access-related alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and emergency response procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, report suspicious behavior or unauthorized access attempts, and help to deter unauthorized entry through a professional presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, common areas, and the business perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
