Security Officer Entry Control - Utility Company

As a Security Officer Entry Control Clerk in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic utilities location.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, equipment zones, and operational spaces.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site protocols.
• Maintain visitor records, access logs, and related documentation, and communicate clearly with site contacts regarding approvals, escorts, and/or access restrictions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for security-related issues, access concerns, and conditions that may require follow-up.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include:

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
