Security Officer Entry Control

About the role

As a Security Officer Entry Control in Mocksville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor entry points, verify access, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and/or designated access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and support security-related protocols for people, property, and deliveries.
• Verify identification, credentials, and/or visitor permissions, document arrivals and departures, and communicate access-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with crowd management and reporting unusual activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, observing for access issues, maintenance concerns, and/or conditions that may require a security-related response.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
