About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing badges, and documenting visitor activity. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with employees and guests, and support security-related procedures while helping to deter incidents. Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue temporary access materials, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
  • Screen deliveries, vendors, contractors, and visitors in accordance with site requirements, directing authorized individuals to appropriate check-in areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, facility grounds, and perimeter areas to identify and report security-related concerns.

Requirements

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Schedule

  • Day shift: Saturday and Sunday, 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
