Security Officer Entry Control

About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Desert Hot Springs, CA, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying access credentials, monitoring alarms, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and employees, and support a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain accurate access and visitor records in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
- Communicate clearly with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership while documenting incidents, observations, and actions taken.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Pay
$20.28 / hour

- Wednesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
- Thursday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
- Friday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
- Saturday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
- Sunday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
