About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Bristol, TN, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, greet visitors, and help maintain a secure environment. You will use technology to document activity, communicate professionally with employees and guests, and respond to security-related concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor records, and control entry and exit in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting relevant information to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
- Support a professional environment at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by communicating clearly and maintaining awareness of authorized personnel and site activity.
Requirements
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
