As a Security Officer Entry Control in South Hill, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification, authorizations, visitor logs, deliveries, and contractor check-in requirements.
- Observe entry points, loading areas, and restricted locations for unusual activity, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, access points, parking areas, and operational areas; document observations and complete required reports.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
