Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response support at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels when needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, document observations and incidents, and communicate security-related information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Support order at the location by following post instructions, assisting with crowd and visitor management, and addressing routine questions or concerns from the public.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
