Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed post at a medical location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and coordinating with site contacts, law enforcement, and/or first responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors while following weapon handling protocols and post orders for an armed assignment.
• Report hazards, suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel, and complete required logs, reports, and incident records in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
