Responsibilities
- Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, public concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting unusual activity.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, providing directions and support to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public as needed.
- Assist with incident reports, daily activity logs, and/or communication with site contacts and first responders regarding security-related matters.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): A six (6) month commitment to a designated site and weekly shift.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Ability to pick-up extra shifts through the scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.
