Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and reporting of security-related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to manage the flow of visitors, patients, and/or deliveries in accordance with site protocols and applicable post orders.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, staff, and/or emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
