Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced for a retail location in Lancaster, PA. This position provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn additional income by picking up extra shifts. Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

Schedule

Daytime shifts:
Friday 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Saturday 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sunday 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): Hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as a reliable base schedule; requires a six‑month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time one week and full‑time the next, with the option to scale back as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and other security‑related concerns to appropriate store personnel and Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is required; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle inquiries and complaints professionally.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
